Hoover House Bed & Breakfast

Hoover House, built in 1898, is the beautifully restored former home of Herbet Hoover, the 31st President of the United States.

Historic Hoover House Bed and Breakfast is a unique experience in the original Mine Manager's residence of the Sons of Gwalia Mine and Historic Site.

Relax with a beverage of choice at the end of the day as the sun sets on Mt Leonora. Take breakfast on the wide verandahs or lawns, sit and take in the scenery, or watch the wedge tailed eagles that often soar over the open-cut pit.

The Gold Room

The Gold Room is a larger room with a queen and a single bed, and finished in tones of gold. This room also has french doors onto the verandah. Here outdoor settings provide a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the tranquility. Mt Leonora is visible through these doors as you wake. The ensuite is modern and spacious.

The Maroon Room

The original guest room in the house, the Maroon Room is finished in tones of maroon and pink. Smaller than the other rooms, this room has been presented in its traditional manner, with two large original wardrobes and a separate bathroom. Direct access to the verandah is through the original french doors.

The Blue Room

Finished in tones of blue this room overlooks the rose garden, croquet lawn and the existing modern Sons of Gwalia open cut mine. Soak in the atmosphere of the antique brass double bed and many of the other original furniture pieces.
