Kookynie Ruins - in 1903 Kookynie was a thriving Goldfields township with more than 400 buildings and approximately 2,500 people. Today, with its population of only 13 people, this living ghost town, has many sites of historical interest, some of these include the ruins of the Cosmopolitan Hotel, a cemetery, and the restored Cumberland St Shops, which are privately owned.
