Wooleen Station is a working cattle station in the outback of Western Australia. Your hosts the Pollock family will make your stay comfortable, educational and enjoyable in the National Trust listed homestead, the self-contained rammed earth guest houses or in the camping grounds.
Wooleen offers eco tours with David out into the rangelands and the tours include understanding of the ecology of the rangelands, the problems the pastoral indusrty face as a whole, the workings of the cattle property, flora and fauna, early pioneering history, aboriginal culture and the peace and quiet of the ancient landscape.
Enjoy a sunset tour to the oldest lands in the world or self drive tours or even bushwalking experiencing this wonderful station.
Homestead stays includes luxury accommodation in the original 1918 homestead bedrooms, home-style cooking, and a cellar full of Western Australian wines, billiard room, library, swimming pool and an oasis of a garden.
Otherwise stay in our newly built Self-contained two bedroom guesthouses. Full kitchen facilities, bathroom, open fire place, all linen and towels supplied.
The property includes national trust listed woolshed, blacksmith shop and homestead as well as the 'Bower Bird Museum'.
Wooleen is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy your holiday.
Guests can join in with station activities or just enjoy Australian outback bush.
Children activities include tours, bushwalking, meeting the working dogs, or meeting contented homestead cats.
We look forward to your visit.
