We’re excited to invite you to the outback fun and challenges at the smoke and alcohol-free family-friendly
This increasingly popular annual event is becoming a must-do event on the Mid West/Murchison social calendar, renowned for its hilarious mix of outback-style entertainment. So come along and get amongst it!
Once again, this event will be held at the Old Railway Sporting Complex in Yalgoo. The event commences with a free community breakfast followed by activities, Emu Egg carving, games, workshops and more from 9am.
The official opening and welcome proceedings will take place at 10.30am and then the full program of events including activities, Emu Sculpture competition, live music, sand castle fun, costume and mask making workshops and games swing into action.
A little later in the day sees the hilarious costume themed ‘Emu Novelty Racing’.
Once again we are also putting on a free coach from Geraldton to Yalgoo and return. The coach will depart Geraldton 7am from the Bill Sewell Complex in town and then on to the front of the Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service for pick up and on to Yalgoo.
The coach will do a return trip departing the Yalgoo Emu Festival at 4.30pm after the conclusion of the Outback style 'Ninja Challenge' has taken place.
