The event features plenty of fun activities to promote geology and astronomy and celebrate the art and cultural heritage of the Mid West.

MOUNT MAGNET ASTRO ROCKS FEST is a three-day event held in the MURCHISON GEO REGION during September, which celebrates the ancient land beneath our feet and associated biodiversity, an awesome night sky above and cultural connections, particularly with local Badimia people.

Astro Rocks Fest connects people to the night sky, through an astrofest evening with displays, space dome (planetarium) and night sky tours, Scitech science show and a range of telescopes focussing on different parts of the night sky, with astronomers to help you and your family explore the universe. Astronomy talks include the remarkable Square Kilometre Array.
