Western Australian beaches are renowned for their untouched natural beauty, and the Golden Outback is home to some of the State's best, including the stunning Lucky Bay, declared Australia's whitest beach, as well as a fine string of beaches around Esperance and the Fitzgerald Coast.

And just off the coast, surrounded by dazzling blue waters, lies a necklace of 110 pristine islands, known as the Recherche Archipelago – a spectacular contrast to the red earth of the outback.

Cape Le Grand National Park and Lucky Bay

With its sweeping stretches of white sand, Cape Le Grand National Park is where you'll find some of the most photographed Western Australian beaches, such as Lucky Bay, Hellfire Bay, Thistle Cove and Rossiter Bay. Follow the coastal walk trails or take a gentle stroll along the beach and feel the squeaky-clean sand between your toes. You may even have the whole beach to yourself.

Recherche Archipelago and Woody Island

This natural treasure is a haven for a wide variety of wildlife and offers the perfect island playground for lovers of fishing, diving, snorkelling and sailing. Island cruises and fishing charters are available.

Esperance Beaches

Along the Great Ocean Drive you'll encounter a string of ruggedly beautiful Esperance beaches, from Blue Haven Beach to the popular bathing and swimming spot of Twighlight Beach.

Muglinup Beach
