Nungarra Cemetery

The original townsite for the area was Nungarra.

Once a bustling hub of activity all that remains is the cemetery and one lonely grave.

The cemetery holds the remaining few gravestones within a fenced area with new plaques laid by the Outback Grave Markers to remember those who rest in unmarked plots.

Further along the track, you will also pass by the lone grave of A.W. Irvine.

Nungarra Cemetery is 12 kilometres from Sandstone, along the Paynes Find-Sandstone road.
