The Federation Arts and Crafts style stone building functioned as Cue's railway station for eighty years, from 1898 until the closure of the line in 1978.
Constructed during Cue's first gold boom, the station was an important civic building for the community and reflected the growth of the town, the mining industry in Western Australia and the development of the district. It has been restored and while primarily use as the towns Youth Centre it is often used for various town social events.
