With the gold price hitting new highs ($1,720 USD per ounce as at March 2021), and the recent popularity of the Discovery channel show Aussie Gold Hunters, a modern-day gold rush has seen a wave of hobbyist prospectors head to Australia’s Golden Outback.

The Goldfields is the perfect place for a camping adventure. Wide-open spaces, amazing scenery and starry night skies you can only imagine. If you’re heading from Perth to the Goldfields for an outback adventure, here are our favourite places to set up camp for the night!

Western Australia is blessed to have such an incredible, unique landscape, like white sandy beaches, waterfalls, and red outback deserts. The state is also scattered with our famous, naturally occurring salt lakes, coming in all colours, shapes and sizes!
