The cooler climate of the winter months brings with it new opportunities to explore the stunning Wheatbelt region of the Golden Outback. The winter rain turns the rolling countryside into a lush green, with blooming plants, wildflowers, sunshine-yellow canola, and wide-open plains as far as the eye can see.
Each spring, the rust-red plains of the Gascoyne Murchison transform as the burst into bloom. The wildflowers appear after the winter rains, creating some of the most beautiful landscapes you’ll ever see.
Esperance has no shortage of beaches where you can while away a day if you want to relax. But if you fancy getting a bit more active, there are also heaps of walking trails to explore.
